What? The memorial is primarily constitued of a torpedo provided by the US Navy.
When? The memorial was dedicated on October 24, 1986.
Where? The memorial is located on the St. Johns River waterfront in Palatka, Florida. (Location)
Why? The memorial was built to honor all submarine veterans, particularly those on the "Last Patrol" two of whom were from Putnam County, Florida: Basil Pearce and Elton Brubaker.
